Fire Proof Bag FPB-001/AW

It’s not always pratical to leave an aircraft’s documents and records on the ground. JAR OPS 1 paragraph 1.140 (a) (iii) permits such data to be carried on-board an aircraft if it is within a fireproof container.
The fireproof document container FPB-001/AW meets this requirement having been tested beyond the stringent requirements stipulated in JAR25.853.
It is constructed of 55% SIO2, 24% CaO, 7% B2O3, 15% Al203, aluminium laminated colour. Protection against fire is not due to any chemical treatment, but the particular molecular structure of the fiber.
This means that the fire resistance of the fabric of FPB-001/AW, is implicit and permanent and that the protective level is guaranteed for the entire duration of the fireproof document container.
FPB-001/AW provides melting temperature 1.100 °C and the exercise temperature approximately 550 °C.
