More details

A.N.V.I.S.

Aviator's Night Vision System (ANVIS) for many years in use for military uses, has as main purpose to support and assist the flight crew to navigate during the night flight, ground and avoiding obstacles. Recently ANVIS systems have also been applied in civil, as regards the activities of night-flight, thereby increasing the safety and efficiency.

Among the various applications highlight work: surveillance operations, search and rescue. The systems ANVIS (Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System) of last generation, using tubes of 3rd generation and can operate at very low altitude, with low levels of illumination almost total darkness.
In practice with a vision of the human eye at night with cloudy skies, no moon, and away from sources of light pollution in a radius of several kilometers.

The operation of ANVIS is based on the principle of amplify and intensify the emission of the ambient light reflected from the moon and the stars, and from sources of light pollution. Taking advantage of ambient light sources, systems ANVIS build detailed images, the typical green tones.
Photons (particles of light), passing through the lens, producing a reverse image on the photocathode which releases a quantity 'proportion of electrons.
An electric field accelerates the electrons until they are hard to hit a micro-channel, consisting of about three million in glass tubes coated with material emissivity. The excited electrons in turn generate other electrons, leaving the disc with tiny channels in the same way they entered. Only at the end, striking a phosphor screen and then shine the points of phosphorus, it is to create a light amplified. An application of systems ANVIS is' NVG.

Night Vision Goggle (NVG)
The Night Vision Goggles and a night vision system, designed to be used individually, mounted on specific devices on the head of leaving your hands free.
Consists of two tubes of amplification night, assembled in an optical system, all mounted, un'appostito through support on the front of the helmet from flying so fast as to be always ready for use. E 'possible to separately adjust the distance infrapupillare on each eye, the distance and height.
The NVG adapt to any anthropometric conformation.
The NVG benefit from the latest technological developments of the tubes with respect to the resolution, the gain, sensitivity and duration of operational life. Are powered by batteries, placed in a container placed on the back of the helmet.
