Aviator's Night Vision System (ANVIS) for many years in use for military uses, has as main purpose to support and assist the flight crew to navigate during the night flight, ground and avoiding obstacles. Recently ANVIS systems have also been applied in civil, as regards the activities of night-flight, thereby increasing the safety and efficiency.

Among the various applications highlight work: surveillance operations, search and rescue. The systems ANVIS (Aviator's Night Vision Imaging System) of last generation, using tubes of 3rd generation and can operate at very low altitude, with low levels of illumination almost total darkness.

The operation of ANVIS is based on the principle of amplify and intensify the emission of the ambient light reflected from the moon and the stars, and from sources of light pollution. Taking advantage of ambient light sources, systems ANVIS build detailed images, the typical green tones.

Night Vision Goggle (NVG)
